The Tacoma Link Extension project team is completing final design of the stations, tracks, associated utility work and maintenance facility expansion. Later this fall, the project will begin pre-construction activities, which will include outreach to businesses and residents, open houses, permitting and hiring contractors to build the new route. The route extends the current system north along Commerce Street to the Hilltop District via Stadium Way, North 1st Street, Division Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Construction of the Tacoma Link Extension and expansion of the Operations and Maintenance Facility will begin in fall 2018.
